Laureus Foundation visits Palm Island - Feb 2009

February 5, 2009, Ned Wills, CEO Laureus Foundation and his work colleagues, Rebecca Malcolm, and Olympic British hero Daley Thompson, joined CFF Founder Catherine Freeman and CFF Friend Svea Pitman on a one day visit to Palm Island.

The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is an apolitical charitable initiative that uses the positive influence of sport to tackle society's most pressing challenges around the globe, supporting projects on every continent.

Ned, Rebecca, Daley, Svea and Catherine spent the day meeting Palm Island Mayor and council members, and visited local St Michaels and Bwgcolman Primary schools.

CFF and Laureus aspire to work towards a future when Palm Island can receive community strengthening and capacity building opportunities through sport.
